Kevin Carfield Obituary
Kevin James Carfield, of McCook, NE, passed away at his home on January 9th, 2024, at the age of 61.
Kevin was born on June 22nd, 1962, to parents Edwin and Janet (Curry) Carfield. He was raised in McCook and graduated from high school with the class of 1980.
Kevin spent the majority of his career working as a pumper for Berexco Oil Company.
Kevin married the love of his life, Lori Ridenour, on October 28th, 1983, in Holdrege, NE. Together they were blessed with two daughters: Sable and Jacqueline.
Kevin was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed thinking up new designs to build for family and friends. When he wasn't spending time in the workshop, he could be found headed to a fishing hole with his best friend James to "harass the bass". Kevin was a proud member of the Master Anglers of NE. He enjoyed trap shooting, bowling, cooking, and oil painting. In his later years he took up beekeeping and could often be found out on the golf course. Kevin loved being a husband, father, friend, and most of all, a grandpa. Kevin was a member of the McCook Memorial Methodist Church.
Kevin was proceeded in death by his parents.
Those left to celebrate his life is his wife, Lori Carfield of McCook, NE; daughters, Sable (Nate) Weintz of Lincoln, NE, and Jacqueline (Connor) Lemon of Lincoln, NE; grandson Tyler James Weintz; his 'brother from another mother' James (Kif) Huffman of McCook, NE; brothers Dave (Chris) Carfield of McCook, NE, and Darin (Denise) of McCook NE; and numerous extended family and friends.
