Kevin James Chartier

Kevin James Chartier, 73, of Wichita Falls, TX, passed away on March 2, 2026. He was born on July 2, 1952, in Detroit, MI, to Agnes and Elmer Chartier. Kevin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1992, retiring as Chief Warrant Officer after 20 years of honorable service, and continued his dedication to public service through another 20 years with the federal government. His life was defined by discipline, responsibility, and a deep commitment to both country and family.

Outside of work, Kevin found joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, always enjoyed a good bourbon and in creating lasting memories with his family. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was affectionately known as Pop-Pop and delighted in baking his famous pineapple upside-down cake with them. Though life brought challenges, Kevin valued reconciliation and the moments he shared with loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Marie Bacashihua; his daughters, Ann Marie, Regina Lynn, and Kristin Jean; his siblings, Terry, Tim, Brian, Chris, and Brooke; his grandchildren, Bailey, Jack, Breanna, Lillian, Devyn, Aaiden, and Kynslee; and eight great-grandchildren, who will carry on his love and legacy.

Kevin believed it is not so much how a story begins, but how many memories you are able to create together before the end.
