Kevin Collett, a cherished family man, remarkable mechanic, and proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2024, in Jasper, GA. Born on January 16, 1954, in Canton, GA, Kevin's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones and his country.
Following his honorable service in the Marine Corps, Kevin continued his commitment to service in the Army National Guard. After his military career, he found his calling as a truck driver, eventually retiring but never losing his love for the road and machines.
Kevin was an active member of the Waleska Church of God of Prophecy, where his faith further exemplified his loving nature. He had a remarkable ability to fix anything that came his way and found joy riding motorcycles, leaving an unforgettable legacy as someone exceptionally handy and kind-hearted. Kevin's memory will be treasured and kept alive by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Dorothy Collett; survivors include his wife of 28 years, Cruz Collett; children, Jeb Collett and Jessica Collett; siblings, Mary Ann Ingram, Robert Collett, Johnny Collett, Donna Ayers and Cathy Swindle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
