Kevin Curtis Devey passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mount Pleasant, Utah on October 20th, 2024 at 20 years old. Kevin was born May 14th, 2004 in American Fork, Utah to Cindy Smith and Dane Devey. He is survived by his Mother Cindy, Father Dane, Sister Shaylyn Whitman, Brother Thorin David Fox, Sister Arora Abel, Brother Brystin Fox, Sister Makylie Fox, Brothers Dominic and Damian Barringer, Brother Jastin Ellett (Rebecca), Brother Jacob Leatherman, Sister Tara Kidrick, Grandpa Curtis William Smith, Grandma Libiann Bowen Tangreen (Dennis Tangreen), Grandparents Barry and Jan Vincent, Aunt Amanda Potter (Joshua), Uncle Martin Dean Smith (Mariah), Aunt Elizabeth Clement (Aaron), Uncle Tanner Lynne Smith (Keara), Uncle Davis Devey (Susan), Uncle Ryan Devey (Torry), Great Grandparents Edward Lindley and Mary Jane Bowen, 9 great aunts and uncles, at least a hundred cousins, and a handful of nieces and nephews.

Kevin was loved deeply and fiercely by all that knew him. He loved his family and friends dearly. He was the kindest, sweetest, and gentlest soul, and an amazing son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, uncle, and friend. If anyone needed something done, especially if it required heavy lifting, Kevin was right there to get the job done. He was the best big brother ever even to the kids who are not siblings by blood.

His favorite hobbies included building RC Cars, riding his bikes, collecting Hot Wheels, playing video games, especially Minecraft with his siblings and cousins, fishing, kayaking in the reservoirs of Sanpete County, camping with family and friends, and just fixing things in general. The man loved his pocket knives and always had one with him. He would be the one to assemble all the toys and Christmas, and standing up to bullies.

He graduated this life much too early, with lots of life left behind. He has been through so much more than a man of his age should have, but always kept his chin high and a positive outlook and protected his family. He had an amazing sense of humor and made everyone laugh at his silly jokes and comments and goofy personality. Kevin will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 N 100 W, Mt Pleasant, UT, Friday October 25th. The viewing will be from 5 to 6 PM, followed by a celebration of life from 6 to 7 PM with a small dinner for family afterwards at the LDS Church (Red Brick) in Mount Pleasant. Kevin loved the color purple, and all are encouraged to wear purple to the services.

In lieu of flowers, please donate the value you would have spent to (Venmo) @CindySmithFox82 for the completed restoration of Kevin's truck. There is also a GoFundMe set up in Kevin’s memory https://gofund.me/f9c2eaae
