Dennis Kevin Dunn, 61 of Blountsville passed away Thursday September 18, 2025, at his residence. Kevin was born December 30, 1963, in Cullman, the son of Dennis E. Dunn and Jo Ann Cates Dunn. He graduated from J.B. Pennington High School, Class of 1982. On September 18, 1993, he and Susan Campbell were married and were blessed with 32 years to the day when the Lord called him home. Kevin was a retired truck driver after driving for over 30 years. He also was a retired volunteer firefighter having served as captain and at one time assistant chief with Blountsville Fire Department. Kevin enjoyed driving a school bus at Blountsville and since his days in band he continued, even after his kids graduated, to support the J.B. Pennington Band. He and Susan traveled many miles and worked in the concession stand many hours through the years. Kevin was a member of Blountsville Baptist Church and had taken care of sound system operation for many years. He loved his family dearly and loved his kids and grandkids immensely. Survivors include his wife: Susan Dunn; children: Ryan (Drew) Dunn; BrookeLen Dunn (Christian Dorsett); parents: Dennis & Jo Ann Dunn; brother: Kelly Dunn; grandchildren: Paisley Dunn, Cooper Dunn and River Dunn and one angel in Heaven; mother in law: Louise Campbell; sister in law: Rhonda Campbell Hitt; nephews: Mitch (Connie) Hitt, Blake (Lexy) Hitt, Sean Dunn, Peyton Dunn and Maverick Hitt; nieces: Mackenzie Dunn-Holt (Joshua), Kynlee Hitt and Kyla Hitt. Funeral Service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday September 20, 2025, at Blountsville Baptist Church with Brother Randall Edmondson officiating. The burial in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Blountsville Funeral Home directing. Visitation was from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Blountsville Baptist Church. Pallbearers: Mitch Hitt, Blake Hitt, J.J. Dunn, Jake Dunn, Sean Dunn and Peyton Dunn. Honorary Pallbearers were his fellow Bus Drivers.
