Kevin Frohwein, 68, of Zearing, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held at the Dakins Community Center in Zearing, Iowa, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025. Immediately following his visitation, a memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor David Burling officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Lincoln Township Cemetery at a later date.
Kevin was born on September 17, 1956, in Eldora, Iowa to Glen and Jane (Ritland) Frohwein. He grew up on the family farm in Zearing where he attended Nesco Schools and graduated with the class of 1974. Kevin worked on the farm, Zearing Fertilizer, and was the Zearing City Maintenance Manager. He married Linda Perry in 2002, and the couple resided in Zearing. Kevin retired from Zearing Fertilizer in 2015.
He served on the Zearing Fire Department for many years.
Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, swimming in his pool, traveling, fishing, eating fish, eating ice cream, and telling stories.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Linda Perry; children Heidi (Scott) Loomis, Hope (Wes) Kix, and Barrett (Valerie) Frohwein; grandchildren Leighton (Sophie) Memmer, McKayla DeNio, Madelyn DeNio, Sophia DeNio, Jake Whitney, Olivia Kix, Alyssa Kix, Nile Kix, McKenzie (Storm) Tootle, Isabelle Frohwein; great-grandchildren Bentley, Maverick, and Marley Tootle; siblings Larry Frohwein of Ankeny, IA, Duane Frohwein of Hubbard, IA, Joyce (Mike) Haws of Ankeny, IA, Judy (Kirk) Cheville, Keith (Elsie) Frohwein, and Curtis (Beth) Frohwein; many nieces and nephews; cousins; and close friends. His kind heart and smile will be missed by all who have had the opportunity to know him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gerald Frohwein sister-in-law Joyce Frohwein.
Fredregill Funeral & Cremation Care has been entrusted with the care of Kevin and his family.
