Kevin Gary Graves passed away on July 1, 2018, at the age of 28. He lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a remarkable ability to master any task he set his mind to.
Kevin was born on January 24, 1990, in Southfield, Michigan, the cherished son of Gary and Kathleen (Graye) Graves. He attended Clarenceville High School in Livonia, where he graduated in the class of 2009. He was a member of the wrestling and track teams, showcasing his competitive spirit and dedication to teamwork.
After high school, Kevin found his professional calling at Precision Coating, where he excelled as a Coating Technician for six years. Outside of his professional life, Kevin was a talented carpenter and often assisted his father, Gary, with mechanic and body work on cars, proving himself to be a true jack of all trades. Those who worked with Kevin often said he only had to be shown something once and he would know how to do it. He was a quick learner in everything he put his mind to.
Kevin was an avid hunter and enjoyed watching car races at the Michigan Speedway. He had a huge heart and was deeply family-oriented. Kevin's kind nature and generosity touched everyone he met, and he was always ready to put others before himself.
Kevin leaves behind a loving family: his parents, Gary and Kathy Graves; his siblings, Kellie Farley, Karen (Glen) Theeck, and Tim Graves; many adoring nieces and nephews; and loving aunts, uncles, and other family members. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose warmth and kindness knew no bounds.
A memorial service for Kevin will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave, Howell, with visitation an hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kevin's honor may be made to the Venus Foundation to help others find their missing loved ones. Contributions may be mailed to Venus Foundation c/o Kellie Boers, 3904 Hayes St., Portage, MI 49002.
Kevin's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His generous spirit and his ability to love unconditionally will never be forgotten.
