Mr. Kevin Patrick Hassett, 52 of Walkersville has gone home to the Lord Sunday, June 26 at his residence. He was the husband of Laura Jeanne Wells Hassett of Walkersville. Born June 16, 1959 in Philadelphia PA, he was a son of Maurice Martin and Mary Elizabeth Murray Hassett, of Walkersville. Mr. Hassett had been self-employed as a Satellite Technician. He was a past Commander S.A.L. Post #282. He enjoyed playing golf and loved the Ravens. Surviving besides his wife and parents are a stepdaughter: Lauren Munday and husband Brant of Waynesboro PA; a stepson: Nicholas Toms; a son: Paul Hassett; and a daughter: Jenna Hassett all of Walkersville; three grandchildren: Aidan Munday, Brendan Munday and Christian Munday all of Waynesboro PA; and seven brothers and sisters: Richard M. Hassett , Kathleen M. Hassett all of Frederick, John M. Hassett and wife Lucy of Baltimore, Barbara Hassett Mintzell and husband Martin of Annandale VA, Stephen J. Hassett and wife Patricia, Janet H. Hassett all of Walkersville, Megan Hassett Krucenski and husband Kenneth of Baltimore. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He will also be remembered by Laura's family, and close friend: Earl Barber of Damascus. He was preceded in death by a brother: Dr. Christopher Michael Hassett. Mr. Hassett is at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, P.A., 1201 North Market Street, Frederick were the family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 30. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, July 1 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9190 Church Street, Libertytown with Monsignor Richard Murphy as the celebrant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Peter's Cemetery, Libertytown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mr. Hassett to Jenna's Education Fund, 121 West Patrick Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
