Kevin Keith Imes, 62, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2025 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Kevin was born on October 15, 1963 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to his proud parents, Keith and Nancy Imes. Baptized in the Lutheran faith, Keven was confirmed at Rock Valle Lutheran Church, rural Echo, Minnesota where he regularly attended with his parents and proudly and loudly played his trumpet accompanying hymns at special services including Easter.
A graduate of Echo Wood Lake High School, Kevin attended college at Southwest State University and Mankato State University, entering the United States Army in November of 1986. His assignments included a two-year stint in Germany, time in Norway and at White Sands, New Mexico as Military Police. He was honorably discharged in August 1990. Kevin was proud to have served his country.
For the past thirty-two plus years, Kevin has lived in Hastings, Minnesota and was a dedicated and loyal employee of Treasure Island Resort during that time. Kevin made many friends in the area and was especially close to his golfing buddies at Hidden Greens Golf Course, where he continued to join them playing golf even while undergoing cancer treatment last summer. Kevin enjoyed visiting and spending time with Michael and Matt Imes, David Hinz, Kurt and Eric Frietag and others.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Nancy Imes. He survived locally by his Uncle Carl (Butch) Imes and Aunt Karla Imes, Aunt Mary (Terry) Paulson and numerous cousins and relatives.
As per Kevin’s expressed wishes, a graveside service will be held at a later date at Rock Valle Lutheran Cemetery.
