Kevin S. Olmstead, 62, passed away unexpectedly Monday (February 24, 2025) in UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by his family and friends. A lifelong area resident he was born October 15, 1962 in Jamestown, the son of Ward Olmstead and Linda Putnam Olmstead Mattison. Kevin was a graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and was currently employed by Lakeshore Paving. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Karrie, taking care of his property, mowing, farm work, golfing and spending time with family and friends. Surviving is his wife Karrie Fucillo Olmstead whom he married January 4, 2014 in Key West, FL; his son Justin Olmstead of Jamestown; two grandchildren: Harper and Sophia Olmstead both of Jamestown; his mother Linda Mattison of Jamestown; his brother Douglas Olmstead of Randolph; his sister Sharon Oakes of Florida and step sister Kim Johnson of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Ward Olmstead and step father Vern Mattison. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. James D. Bailey will officiate. A private burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville. Friends will be received by the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be donated to Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Rd., Jamestown, NY 14701.
