Kevin Matthew Pinter, age 53, of Bentonville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born on July 2, 1971, in Jackson, Mississippi, to Wayne Pinter Sr. and Beverly Woods. Kevin's early life was marked by his battle with juvenile diabetes, a condition he faced with remarkable resilience. Despite the challenges posed by his illness, Kevin excelled academically and professionally. He graduated from Bentonville High School with a perfect attendance record, never having missed a day since the seventh grade. Kevin was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Arkansas but chose instead to pursue a degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from the Phoenix Institute of Technology. His passion for designing house plans resulted in over 70 homes in Northwest Arkansas bearing his distinctive touch.
Kevin's career included notable positions, including his time at Walmart, where he contributed to pharmacy planning. His professional journey was characterized by continual growth and advancement. After leaving Walmart, Kevin held several roles, each with increased responsibility and compensation. In his personal life, Kevin was married to Brenna Orr. They lived in Bella Vista for three years before their marriage ended in divorce. Kevin remained single thereafter. A devout Christian, Kevin accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of nine. His faith was a central part of his life, and he actively participated in church activities and volunteered whenever possible. Despite the significant health challenges he faced, including a severe episode in 2010 that left him with Metabolic Encephalopathy, Kevin remained steadfast in his faith and hope for healing.
In his final days, Kevin experienced a series of unfortunate events that led to his hospitalization. As his condition worsened, he passed away on Monday morning at 1:36 a.m., marking the end of his long struggle with diabetes. Kevin is remembered for his unwavering faith, professional achievements, and the impact he made on those around him. His family and friends find comfort that he has found the healing he sought, and will be reunited with him in the future.
Kevin was preceded by two grandmothers; Myrtle Pinter and Lois Ione Ridgely; two grandfathers, Richard Ridgely and Roman Pinter; one aunt, Lois Schmid; his stepmother, Brenda Pinter; cousin, William Schmidt; three uncles, Clayton Pinter, Billy Pinter and Harlan Pinter.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Woods and her husband, Charles Woods of Fayetteville, Arkansas; father, Robert Wayne Pinter Sr. of Ethelsville, Alabama; sister, Jodie Lynn Tremblay and her husband, Jerry of Warwick, Rhode Island; four brothers, Robert Wayne Pinter Jr. of Evanston, Wyoming, David Dale Pinter and wife, Susan of Traverse City, Michigan, Stephen Carl Pinter and wife, Jodi Kay of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Mark Pinter and wife, Lisa of Ethelsville, Alabama; six uncles, Richard Ridgely and wife, Kathy of Ozark, Arkansas, Marvin Pinter, Tommy Pinter, Wendell Pinter, Dorman Pinter, Ernest Pinter and their wives, all of Mississippi; two aunts, Lois Lorene Hutchinson of Philadelphia, Mississippi.
Visitation is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Wasson Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Wasson Funeral Home with a committal service to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in
Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
