Kevin was born on December, 27th 1951 at Bay City General Hospital. The same day and hospital as his lifelong friends, Dennis and Judy Wright. He was greeted into the world by His Parents Louis and Winnifred and older brother, Douglas. After a long bout of illness Kevin passed away peacefully on March 1st 2026 at Huron Woods Nursing Center in Kawkawlin, Michigan. He was 74 Years Old.
His early years were good but hindered by illness but that did not derail him. He began his love of Detroit Tigers Baseball and his favorite pitcher Denny McLain. He also went on a cross-country trip to California with his family. He would love listening and watching University of Michigan Football Games with his dad. He went onto later and graduated from West Catholic Central High School in 1970. He spent some time at Delta College but wanted to try something different. He became a carpenter's helper. During that time, he met the love of his life Linda, they found love seeing their favorite band “Sterling” with friends, Theresa & Duane Campbell, and regularly attended Saginaw Gears Hockey Games. They later married in October 2nd 1981. Later on, they had two sons, Brandon & Kevin.
Kevin also found his true calling helping people with disabilities in group homes but he later went onto to be on the founding staff (led by Eleanor Southwell) at North Bay Activity Center and for Bay County Mental Health. Unfortunately, he had to retire early and became a stay-at-home Dad. In that time, he discovered his family roots and learned more about his Irish Heritage. and became a member of The Ancient Order of The Hibernians.
Kevin enjoyed all sorts of music. He also carried on the tradition of watching Wolverines Football, Tigers and Loons Baseball with his Sons. You could often find him at The Willew Lounge listening to live music or having a Guinness with his Hibernian brothers at The Green Hut. He became a member of the “Praying Our Faith” Community led by Mary Beth Hopps. And In late 2025 He was Reinitiated in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and Our Lady of Peace Parish for his entire life. Kevin was a good catholic man, with strong convictions. He loved his family and friends unconditionally.
He is survived by his brother, Douglas Rousse and his wife Mary (Walraven)Rousse; his sons, Brandon James Rousse and Kevin Christopher Rousse; Eric Rousse, Lori Rousse, Mark Rousse, Becky Rousse, Katie Pelliccia, Amanda Rousse-Ehrlich, Louis Rousse.
