It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kevin Schiller on February 3, 2025. He was 53 years old.
Kevin was born in Silver Spring, MD. A year later the family moved to Simsbury, CT, where he grew up, tested the tolerance of his parents and five older siblings, went to Simsbury High School, excelled in soccer and golf, made many lifelong friends, and met his future wife, Sally Daglio.
He attended the University of New Hampshire where he surprised many by enrolling in Engineering before changing his major and earning a BA in Business Administration. He joined the Acacia fraternity and played on the golf team. Upon graduation, he began a very successful career of more than 30 years with Fidelity Investments. In several executive roles, he was a leader and mentor to many. Throughout his career, he helped countless students and graduates find internships and rewarding careers at Fidelity.
He married Sally in 1997 and raised two wonderful children, Cole and Maddie, in Norwell, MA. As a husband and father, Kevin was always present, providing so much love, care, and support. They spent summers at the beach in Truro on Cape Cod and winter weekends skiing at Sunday River in Maine. Kevin and Sally were gracious hosts who loved having friends and family visit their vacation homes. The beach, surfing, fire pits, dance parties, the "bed shed," and his awesome egg sandwiches in the morning always made it so fun for the kids, friends, nieces, and nephews. Uncle Kevin was a fun uncle for sure!
Kevin loved golf. He was a very active member at Marshfield Country Club since 2002 where he made so many close friends, served on the Board of Governors and several committees, consistently kept a low single-digit handicap, and won quite a few tournaments, including three majors in one season. His brothers and nephew, also MCC members, will deeply miss Schiller foursomes.
Family, friends, and colleagues will not forget Kevin. He had a natural ability to connect with people. His infectious smile, sense of humor, self-confidence, and genuine interest in others made him so enjoyable to be around. He consistently reached out and stayed in touch with the many people he cared about. He cherished his family and friends and made them feel loved. He was generous with various charities and volunteered his time as a board member for several years at the Norwell VNA.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sally Schiller; children Maddie and Cole Schiller; father Robert Schiller of Niantic, CT; sister MaryKay Bauer and husband John of Essex, CT; brothers Robert Schiller, Jr. and wife Allyson of Milton, MA, Thomas Schiller and wife Pamela of Duxbury, MA, David Schiller and wife Erin of Hanover, MA, and Michael Schiller and wife Deanne of Downingtown, PA; brothers-in-law, David Daglio, Jr. and wife Kristina of Brookline, MA, Dan Daglio and wife Heather of Boston, MA, and Steve Daglio and wife Betsy Vallone of Norwell, MA; nieces and nephews, Brett, Shannon (and husband Jason), Nicole (and husband Cory), Riley, Cammy, Devon, Sophie, Lexie, Kasey, Kyle, Ryan, Nick, Marissa, Ally, Nicky, Kai, Spencer, Dax, and Mia; and great nieces Payton and Cora. He is predeceased by his mother, Maureen Schiller.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA.
