Kevin Ray Wilson, 65, of Lee's Summit, MO, passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2024. He was born on April 10, 1959, in Columbia, MO, to Raymond Wilson and Floraetta Jean (Lyle) Wilson. He graduated from Warrensburg Highschool in 1977.
Kevin was an avid golfer, and dedicated 30 years to working at Sandvik Coromont, where he proudly referred to himself as the "Carbide Cowboy". Kevin was well known for his quick wit, humor, story-telling skills, unique phrases, and nicknames he seemingly gave everyone he met. He was a selfless father, who showed his love through acts of service, whether it be making long drives or always keeping his kids' cars clean. He was a reliable friend, brother, and uncle.
Kevin is survived by his daughter, Olivia Wilson (Addison Storm) of Chicago, IL, his son Aaron Wilson, of Lee's Summit, MO, and Laura Wilson, the mother of his children to whom he was married for 27 years. He also leaves behind his brother, Jeff Wilson (Jean), nephews Shane and Trevor Wilson, nieces Kara and Jackie Wilson, numerous cousins, and an extensive group of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Flo Wilson.
Services will be held at Sweeney-Phillips Funeral Home in Warrensburg, MO on Friday, September 27th, 2024. The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation, as they were the beneficiary of his favorite annual golf tournament.
Kevin will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

I bought my house from Kevin and Laura 25+ years ago, and I will always appreciate that he worked with me, rather than take a cash offer, because he knew I love this house. He was a good man and my heart goes out to those who loved him.
