"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

These words were a promise Khanista carried close to her heart, and they are a fitting reflection of the life she lived and the hope she leaves with those who loved her.

Khanista, lovingly known to many as "Nita" and affectionately called "Kid" by some, was born on September 13, 1973, in Alexandria, Virginia, and passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 52.

One of six children, she grew up in a lively family before beginning a journey that took her from Alexandria to Little Rock, Arkansas, then on to Houston, and finally to Katy, Texas-the city she came to love and proudly call her home. Her name, which means "little sister" in Thai, reflected her roots, but her spirit stretched far beyond a name. She was truly one of a kind: a smile that could light up any room, a laugh that was unforgettable, and a heart that never met a stranger.

Khanista was the cherished daughter of Viched and Sysmall, and she was truly a daddy's girl-her bond with her father was something special and enduring.

Above all, she was a devoted mother to her three children, Paris, Preston, and Melanie. Being a mom was the joy and purpose of her life. Yet her nurturing spirit didn't stop with her own kids-she was a "second mom" to countless friends who found comfort, wisdom, and laughter under her care. Her beloved basset hounds, Roxy and Jasper, will also miss her deeply.

A true free spirit, Khanista filled journals with profound thoughts and insights, reflections of an intuitive soul who saw the world with uncommon depth. She was a gifted photographer and lover of art, her home alive with vibrant colors-especially the mirror she decorated, which became a reflection of her creativity and zest for life.

Resourceful and determined, Khanista would do anything to provide for her children. She took on whatever jobs were necessary, never complaining, always finding a way to make things work. Her resilience, her generosity, and her joy leave a legacy of love that will live on in all who knew her.

Khanista will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, Viched and Sysmall; her children, Paris and her husband Kyler, Preston, and Melanie and her husband Junior. She also leaves behind her siblings-Sonny, Suwitt, Simon, Steven, and Pi-Am-along with her beloved beagles, Roxy and Jasper, and the many friends and extended family whose lives she touched.

Her smile, her laughter, and her faith will remain a blessing to all who carry her memory in their hearts.
