Khom Sok

Khom Sok, 93, of Lowell, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Lowell General Hospital's Main Campus.
He was the beloved husband of Lorm Yang, with whom he shared many loving and devoted years of marriage.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia, Khom was the son of the late Sak Sung and Sok Kin. He proud-ly served in the Cambodian Army and later as a police officer before immigrating to the United States in 1983 in search of a better life for his family.
A deeply spiritual man, Khom was an active and cherished member of the Vat Khmer Buddhist Temple in Lowell. He found joy in attending services, supporting the temple, and helping fellow members of the Cambodian community.
Khom enjoyed gardening, scratching lottery tickets, and above all, spending time with his fami-ly. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by his loved ones-especially his twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He was affectionately known as a softheart-ed grandfather, always willing to do anything for his grandchildren at their request.
Khom was a pillar of strength and compassion, always supporting his family not only in the United States but also in Cambodia, where he continued to provide help whenever possible.
In addition to his beloved wife, Lorm Yang, Khom is survived by five children, twenty-seven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was prede-ceased by four of his children.

Funeral Notice
Visiting hours for Khom Sok will begin on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford, MA. A procession will follow to the Vat Khmer Buddhist Temple, where visitation will continue after 3:00 PM.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 7:30 AM at the Vat Khmer Bud-dhist Temple, 66 Townsend Avenue, Lowell, MA, followed by a procession to the Merrimack Crematory, 8 Henry Clay Drive, Merrimack, NH.
