Kim Dotson Obituary

Kim Dotson, 68, of Granger, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her husband and two daughters on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

Kim was born on August 19, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Maurice and Jean (Shroff) Hall.

On June 28, 1986, Kim married her sweetheart, Bobby Dotson, at South Side Baptist Church in South Bend. For the next 39 years, she was not only a devoted partner but was truly the best wife - faithful, loving, and always by Bobby's side. Together they built a life filled with laughter and joy.

The majority of Kim's life was spent taking care of others. She was selfless, generous, giving, and caring, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. Above all, she poured her heart into her daughters, Ali (James) Stefan and Haley (Kyle) Bogan, who will always remember her as the very best mom - encouraging, protective, and their biggest cheerleader. Kim was what God meant mothers to be. Her greatest joy was becoming "Lovey" to Lily and Theo, who lit up her world and adored her just as much as she adored them.

Kim had the best laugh - warm, contagious, and able to brighten any room. She would spread happiness wherever she went. She was also a lifelong animal lover, finding joy and comfort in the dogs and horse she cared for and cherished throughout the years.

She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Susan Moskolis, and her brothers, Chris (Sue) Hall, Kirk (Roberta) Hall, and Mitch (Michele) Hall, along with nieces and nephews and many dear friends who were blessed by her love and kindness.

Kim was a bright light in this world. Her selfless heart and the way she cared for others will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends forever.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 20, from 4:00-7:00 PM at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. A service honoring her life will be held Thursday, August 21, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Scott Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Indiana Parkinson Foundation, 14350 Mundy Rd., Noblesville, Indiana 46060, in Kim's honor.

My heartfelt condolences to Bobby, Ali & Haley. Kim was an amazing Mother & wife. She made the house a home that could be on the cover of Better Homes & Garden, inside & out. (Bobby worked hard on the outside also). Such a beautiful soul. I remember our beanie baby hunting back in the 90's. May the love & support of family & friends bring comfort at this difficult time. May she rest in Peace.

I a so very sorry to hear if Kim´s passing. She was such a wonderful lady. Full of life. I remember she helped so much at the barns when my mom got sick. Always willing to do anything. Hugs to all.
