DAVID LEON DOTSON "BABY DAVE", born December 11, 1960, departed this earthly life and moved to his heavenly home, August 14, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Flem and Hazel (Scarberry) Dotson; 3-Brothers: Mack Dotson, Kermit Dotson and James Estil Dotson; 1-Sister: Dolly Lynn Sargent; Father-in-Law: Turner Sargent; Brother-in-Law: Randy Sargent; and several nieces and nephews. David leaves behind his loving wife, Patricia (Sargent) Dotson of 43 years and 9 months, and his faithful fur baby Spike to who he referred to as his baby boy. David was a member of the Millfork Freewill Baptist Church at Paw Paw, KY, where he served as a Deacon. David enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. David Loved reading his Bible and singing for the Lord. He loved his church and his church family.

David was the baby one of 13 children. Those left to cherish his memory are Brothers: Robert (Debbie) Dotson, Danny (Diane) Dotson, Jerry (Sharon) Dotson, Howard (Idamae) Dotson of Paw Paw, KY: Sisters: Annie Carol Blankenship, Okie (Kenny) Jackson of Hurley, VA, Jenny Cantrell and Merle Hurley of Paw Paw, KY; Mother-in-Law: Nancy Sargent; Very Special Brother-in-Love: Douglas Lester who was always there for him whenever he needed him. Also, a nephew he loved as his own, Matthew Lester who he called the baby; Special Nephews: Samuel Dotson that would do anything he could for him, Aaron Hurley, Bobby Jr. Sargent, Ryan Dotson, Andrew Sargent, Ryan Sargent and Jeremy Sargent, who he loved too and watched them grow up as his own. David loved all his nieces and nephews. David also leaves behind his Sisters and Brother by heart, Sybil Gail Lester, Melissa Hurley, Jean Dotson and Bobby Sargent. David leaves behind a multitude of family and friends. He always said, "If I never see you again on this side, meet me by the river of life over on the other side." To know him, was to love him. The world lost one of the best. Heaven gained a wonderful soul.

Visitation will be held at the Millfork Freewill Baptist Church Monday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for DAVID LEON DOTSON will be conducted Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Millfork Freewill Baptist Church with Kenny Jackson, Willie Coleman, Tommy Conn, Ervin Hurley and Ronnie Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in the Dotson Cemetery on Colley Fork, Paw Paw, Kentucky.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
