Kim Dues Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Clio Chapel on Feb. 14, 2025.
Dues, Kim J. - of Clio, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her home in Florida. Funeral services will be held at 1PM, Monday, February 17, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designations.
Kim was born November 13, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Earl and June (Judd) West. Kim graduated from Clio High School in 1966 and later became a devoted wife to her soulmate, Dale Dues, on June 24, 1967. While she once worked for Michigan Belle, Kim found her true calling as a homemaker, relishing every moment spent nurturing her family. The love she poured into her role as a mother was evident in the warmth of her home and the richness of her family life. Kim's enthusiasm for life extended beyond her home. A devoted and passionate supporter of the Detroit Tigers, she could always be counted on to cheer for her favorite team. She found joy in simple pleasures – savoring her morning coffee and cigarette, tending to her beloved garden, and watching the birds that graced her yard. An avid sci-fi fan, she enjoyed watching Star Trek, immersing herself in worlds beyond our own. Known for her strong will and spirited nature, Kim was a guiding light in her family, often described as the glue that held everyone together. She possessed a unique blend of bossiness and compassion that shaped the morals of her family. More than anything, Kim deeply loved her family and would go to great lengths to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Surviving are: Children: Robin (Ken) White, Rusty (Mindy) Dues: Grandchildren: Kayla Whitman, Travis (Anissa) Whitman, Tanner (Whitman) Sarah (Robert) Gosselin, Kenneth White II, Joseph White, Ryan (Kourtney) Dues Jr., Bailey Weyandt: Great grandchildren: Ezra, Myles, Theodore, Stella, Grayson, Jayden, Izabella, Braxton, Kole, and 2 on the way; Sister, Tammy (Gary) Chadwell.
