(Gasport) Kim H. Farr, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 23, 2023 in Gasport, NY. She was born in Vietnam to the late Tran Van Su and Tran Thi Nhut. Kim moved to the U.S. in 1972 with her loving husband and best friend, Gerald E. Farr Jr.
Kim is survived by her husband Gerald; son Jeffrey (Rebecca) Farr; and daughters Jennifer (Jared) Lovell, and Jessica (Eric) Lipps. She is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and several siblings, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Mom was a beautiful soul that would do anything for her family. We felt loved by her and she was incredibly giving no matter the cost. She was very hardworking and a person of great courage and strength. Through her life, Kim interspersed working as a nurse's aide, cafeteria worker, and bus driver during her main role as homemaker and wife. She gave it her all in everything she did. She loved donning her favorite jewelry and carrying herself elegantly. Kim was a model mother and wife. She is loved deeply by us and we are thankful to God for the time He gave us with her. She is greatly missed, but we look forward to seeing her again in heaven.
Friends may visit with family at Calvary Baptist Church, 405 Lincoln Ave. Lockport, NY 14094, on Friday March 3rd from 9:00 -11:00 am. The funeral service will be held immediately afterwards. Her committal service and interment will follow at 1:00 pm at the Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036.
