Kim S. Mustafin

November 15, 1948 – September 16, 2025

Kim S. Mustafin, age 76, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Lexington, KY. He was born in Ust'-Ishim Village, Omsk, Former Soviet Union, to the late Shakir Mustafin and Sagida Mustafina. Kim was a proud graduate of Tashkent High School and Andijan Aviation Technical School, and he retired after a long career with Schneider Electric.

Kim was a man of many talents who loved gardening, woodworking, problem-solving, and DIY projects. He also enjoyed fishing, playing chess, and finding joy in creating, building, and sharing his skills with others. His gardens were a source of pride and joy, his creativity, and resourcefulness were matched only by his love for the people around him.

More than anything, Kim cherished spending time with his family, who were always at the center of his life. He is survived by his loving wife of over fifty years, Aliya Mustafina of Lexington, KY; his oldest daughter, Nella Hiens (Greg Hiens); his son, Eldar Mustafin (Glenda Powell-Mustafin); his daughter, Saniya Ellis (Dennis Ellis); and his beloved grandchildren, Daniel Ellis, Ashley Ellis, and Abigail Hiens.

Kim will be remembered for his warmth, humor, creativity, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was so special to so many, and his presence will be deeply missed. His love and legacy will live on in our hearts, forever and always.
