Kimberley A. (Bunty) Bechtel, 70, of York Springs, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Barry A. Bechtel, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.

Born on February 25, 1955, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Richard Bunty, Sr. and Jane Louise (Brady) Bunty.

Kimberley was born and raised in Hanover and attended Hanover High School. While still young, she met a young man driving a Mustang who would later become her husband. The two were married in 1971 and began their life together, raising a family and building a home filled with love and laughter. Kimberley devoted herself to caring for her family and maintaining their home until her illness made it difficult to continue.

She cherished time spent with her loved ones and found great joy in family gatherings. In her free time, Kimberley enjoyed a variety of crafts, antiquing, gardening, and loved going to the casino with Barry, where she had a knack for winning at the slot machines-often coming home with a handful of vouchers and a smile.

In addition to her husband, Kimberley is survived by her son, Timothy A. Bechtel and his wife Heather of East Berlin; her daughter, Amy Bechtel of New Oxford; her daughter-in-law, Kimberly S. Bechtel of East Berlin; four grandchildren, Raine, Tyler, Trever, and Tayler; a sister; and many loving extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chad S. Bechtel, two brothers, and one sister.

There will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate Kimberley's life will be announced at a later date. Please visit www.wetzelfuneralhome.com for service updates.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kimberley's memory to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
