Kimberly A. "Newman" Frederick

Kimberly A. (Newman) Frederick, 67, of North Vandergrift, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 in AHN- Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights.

Born September 7, 1958 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Harold Westcott Newman & Anna Jean (Daniels) Newman.

Kim was a 1976 graduate of Wilkinsburg High School, and worked at the Rite-Aid in Wilkinsburg for a time. In later years, she was employed at Apollo Trust Company and 1st Commonwealth Bank. Kim's last job saw her employed as a bus driver for Moore Bus Company and later Smith Bus Company, where she loved the children dearly. She was a member of the Vandergrift First United Methodist Church and the Victorian Vandergrift Museum and Historical Society.

Kim loved antique cars, and was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America- Kiski Valley Region. She also liked sewing, flower gardening, and decorating for the holidays. Kim loved being with her family, and had a strong passion for animals, rescuing several furry friends over the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her half-sister, Nancy Plank.

Kim is survived by her husband of 27 years, Dale A. Frederick; daughters, Kira L. (Sean Zimmerman) Brill of Kingston, PA, Sarah A. (Andrew) Wright of Chestertown, MD; and a grandson, Wynn.

Friends will be received in the Vandergrift First United Methodist Church, 134 Custer Ave., Vandergrift, PA 15690 on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until the memorial service at 4:00 p.m. in the church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leechburg.
