Kimberly Yager Obituary Kimberly S. Yager, 56, of Milroy, IN passed away January 23, 2025 in Rush County, Indiana. She was born on February 9, 1968, in Rushville, Indiana.
Kim graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1986 and attended Indiana State University after. She married her highschool sweetheart, Steven J. Yager, on April 8, 1989, and they shared a strong and happy 35-year long marriage. She worked at Farm Credit and Harcourt Outlines in Rush County for several years before dedicating her life as a devoted mother and farmwife. She was a 10-year 4-H member in Horse and Pony and Dairy and a lifetime member of St. Marys Catholic Church. She also spent her free time helping her parish, acting as Chairman of the Annual Fall Festival Committee, Eucharistic Minister, making sleeping mats for local homeless shelters, and lending her heart to any friend or stranger in need who crossed her path.
Anyone who knew Kimmy would describe her as incredibly selfless, kind, and strong, with unwavering faith that guided her life and love for others. She was the rock her family revolved around and relied on, always taking care of her loved ones first. She deeply enjoyed horseback riding, decorating her home, antiquing, reading, working outside, and most of all spending time with her children and family. She was a great mother, wife, daughter, friend, and member of faith, avidly dedicating resources and time to organizations like Cross Road Christian Recovery to support those struggling. She will be tremendously missed and was loved by so many.
She is survived by her husband: Steven Yager, and by her four children: Justin, Taylor, Karley (Keith), and Lexey. She is also survived by her parents: Paul and Suzane Fry, and sisters and their spouses: Melanie (Jeff) Krieger and Stephanie (Brad) Tressler, as well as 24 nieces & nephews, several great-nieces & nephews, and preceded in death by her heavenly nephew Jared Krieger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rushville, IN with Rev. Dustin Boehm celebrating. Family is invited to pray the rosary at 9 AM with visitation open to the public at 9:30 AM. Burial will be at Rushvilles Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cross Road Christian Recovery (The Shepherds Way Christian Ministries P.O. Box 2502 Richmond, IN 47374 or crossroadchristianrecovery.org) or the Hope Center (hopecenterlife.com/hope-in-rushville) to help start their new Rushville expansion.
