Born in Torrington on July 14, 1956, he was the son of the late Kip Rogers, I and Irene (Spring) Rogers. He worked as a diesel mechanic all of his life. Kip was a man who loved to fix things, take on new projects, and lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved family camping trips, birthdays on the beach, and NASCAR. His generous spirit, love for life, and hardworking hands will be deeply missed.
In addition to his wife, Sue, of Torrington, Kip is survived by his son Kippy (Kirsten); two daughters, Deanna and Jennifer Rogers; two sisters, Dawn and Gail Rogers; seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his four legged best friend Leo.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at Thurston Rowe Funeral Home, 283 Torrington Road, Litchfield. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Litchfield. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
