Kirby Eugene Langley

Kirby Eugene Langley, 70, of Bloomington, was called home on Saturday, September 7th, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on July 4, 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Rudolph "Rudy" and Mary (Quillen) Langley, Kirby cherished nearly 52 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Tina Louise (Turk) Langley.
Kirby spent most of his life as a mechanic and was known to many as a "master mechanic." A devout believer in the Apostolic Pentecostal faith, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering with and restoring old cars, and had a passion for stock car racing in his younger years.
His family was his greatest joy, and he loved them deeply. With a servant's heart, Kirby was always ready to lend a hand to others in need. He was known and loved by many friends and will be dearly missed.
Kirby is survived by his loving wife, Tina, and their children: Shawn (Brandi) Langley, Nicolle (Joe) Tvelia, Rachel (Bobby) Thrasher, and Kara (Dustin) Newell. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Shawn Austin Langley, Kaleigh Tvelia, Nick Langley, Emma Tvelia, Dylan Tvelia, Brenna Wilson, Ryan Langley, Robert Thrasher, Rowan Thrasher, and Deacon Newell, and great-grandfather to 3 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Garrison, and Kai Langley. He is also survived by 7 siblings: Debra Kowalik, Rudeana Honeycutt, Steven Langley, Lauretta Langley, Cindy Floyd, Margaret Langley, and Frank Langley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Forrest "Bud" Langley, Marcus "Scott" Langley, Rudolph "Rudy" Langley Jr., Charlotte Langley, and Anita Langley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 14th, at Allen Funeral Home, with Pastor Travis Gardner officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13th, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
