Kirt Lackey Obituary

He was born in Hartford City on August 3, 1966 to Jane Marie (Hodge) Turner and Owen Devon Lackey.
Kirt was a 1984 graduate of Blackford High School and later retired from Hochadel Roofing Company. He was a member of the Sons of AMVETS in Hartford City. He found joy in assembling puzzles and had a talent for working on cars, siding, and windows. Kirt cherished his dogs, Baby and Blu.
He will be sadly missed by his mom, Jane M. Turner of Hartford City; brother, Wiliam "Will" D. (wife, Vivian) Lackey of Coal Creek, CO; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 and from 9 to 10 am Wednesday August 27, 2025 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Blackford County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 327, Hartford City, IN 47348 in memory of Kirt.
