It is with extreme heartbreak that we have to share the sudden passing of Kraig Jordan Jones on November 20, 2024. Kraig was born in Durango, Colorado on May 6, 1983 to Kent Jones and Kim Zook.
Kraig served in the United States Army for 10 years as a Combat Medic earning the National Defense Service Medal (NDSM) among many others. After his honorable completion of active service Kraig would go on to use his medical training to serve others in many ways including helping to build and manage Mercy Hospitals COVID-19 protocols and procedures for his community.
Kraig enjoyed wake surfing, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to grill and experiment in the kitchen when he had time.
Kraig was a lover of all animals and all animals were drawn to him. He rescued 3 horses, Trooper, Slim and Kirkos. Kraig had dreams of rescuing an orphan racoon and eventually adding a jungle cat to his list of pets.
Kraig was bonus dad to Bryce and life partner to his other half Lacie Fuller. Together they shared Bryce and their beloved dogs Kimber Honey Bee, Luka Jones and Dutch Carlos.
Kraig was our friend, son, brother, uncle, partner and bonus dad. He is also survived by his parents Kent Jones, Kim and David Zook, sister Kailee Jones, niece Angelina Jones and grandpa Lynn Weger, in-laws Juan and Sheila Rosado and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Kraig was preceded in death by his grandma Allene Jo Weger, grandparents Ken and Eleanor Jones and his bulldog Acadies.
