Kris A. Johnson, 65, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, afternoon, October 23, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan surrounded by her family. She was born November 14, 1959, in Sheboygan. Kris is the daughter of the late Donald and Delores (Launer) Rudie. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School with the Class of 1978. On August 11, 1979, she was united in marriage to Larry Johnson.
Kris worked at Wigwam, Vollrath Company, and most recent at Acuity, from where she recently retired. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan.
Kris and her family enjoyed camping, fishing up north at her parents’ home having bonfires, and baking, especially making apple pies. Her family was most important to her, and she cherished all the good times she spent with them.
She had an amazing sense of humor and a heart of gold. She was there for anyone who needed her up until the end.
Kris is survived by her husband of 46 years Larry, her children, Paul Johnson of Sheboygan and Katie (Derek) Vandenplas of Howards Grove, her siblings; Bruce (Kay) Rudie, Keith (Letha) Rudie, Dawn (Jerry) Johnson, Darla Johnson, Scott (Sue) Rudie, Wayne Johnson, Scot Johnson, Barry (Leila) Johnson, Bobby (Dee) Johnson, Kelly (Brian) Gross, Kristine (Ed) Lauer, Kevin Johnson and Marcie Schultek. She is further survived by her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and special friend Mary Pfeifer.
Kris was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws Spencer and Caroline Johnson, newborn son Chad, brother-in-law Randy and nephew Jacob.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave. Sheboygan, with Rev. Alan Kretschmar officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dogs 2 Dog Tags in Kris's name.
The family would like to thank the special doctors and nurses at Aurora medical Center for all their wonderful care of Kris. Also, a special thank you to the staff at Divita Dialysis for their care and compassion.
