IRONWOOD, Mich. - Krissy Easley passed away from natural causes on Jan. 14, 2026, at her home in Ironwood. Krissy Ann Ruha was born to Cliff and Mary Ruha in Ironwood, on Aug. 4, 1977. She spent her childhood in Iron Belt, Wisconsin, where she had special memories of loving times with her family, as well as the fun and mischief she experienced in the company of the other youth of Iron Belt.
Krissy was a graduate of J.E. Murphy High School. Krissy's love of animals started as a small child and she rescued and found homes for many pets in need. She had a kind compassionate heart for all of God's creatures due to her deep sensitivity and love for any creature or human in need. Krissy's kind and generous heart extended to those in need, but she was also feisty, opinionated and unafraid to confront those who crossed her or caused pain to her beloved family and friends.
Krissy led a life of adventure until she met the love of her life in Charles Easley and she found the contented feeling that comes with finding one's soulmate. She held fond memories of their travels and adventures through many different states during Charlie's time working on the pipelines. Krissy and Charlie married on a cold day in Minot, North Dakota and she traveled by his side until he retired and they settled in Ironwood. Charlie made Krissy's dreams come true by using his talents to equip their home in cat friendly ways that gave her precious cats a happy and stimulating environment filled with sunny windows, climbing platforms and outside supervised privileges. Charlie assisted Krissy in creating her Starry Starry Night Room, a sanctuary where he installed starry lights that allowed her to spend time crafting, listening to music and reading alongside her cats in a peaceful room aglow in soft lights.
Krissy held immense love for her mother, Mary, and her father, Cliff. Krissy considered her mother as the best of all mothers and her closest friend. Krissy was proud of the SISU her father brought to this world and she loved that she and her father shared in common their Finnish good looks.
Krissy is survived by her husband, Charlie; and their precious cats; her cherished mother, Mary; her brothers, Dale (wife Diana) and Kevin. Krissy is survived by her lifelong friend, Deena Leinon, whose unwavering friendship she was blessed to have throughout good times and bad. Krissy also is survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Easley, who was her special coffee buddy.
Krissy was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Ruha.
The family wishes to thank Jerald Rocco of Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., in Wakefield, for his kind and capable assistance during this difficult time.
Krissy loved sparkle and glitter, showing her love, loyalty and care to others, and she loved to laugh. Keep Krissy in your hearts and memory when you see a creature or person in need and help them when you are able in honor of her.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
But never meant to stay…
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord
