Krista Kay Tatman 1972 - 2025
Krista Kay Tatman, age 52, of Tazewell, TN was born on June 27, 1972 in Springfield, OH and went to her heavenly home on February 18, 2025 at UT Medical Center. She was saved and baptized at a young age at Riverside Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and was dedicated to caring for others and showing kindness to the world around her. She loved to spend time with family and her "baby boy," Sparky, her pet Shih-tzu. She enjoyed the beach, thrilling rollercoaster rides, crocheting, collecting nutcrackers, and spreading love and laughter. She always lived life to the fullest, despite battling various illnesses along her journey.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mark and Brenda Cosby; maternal grandparents Layford and Beulah Gulley; and paternal grandparents Millard and Ruth Cosby; among other special relatives.
She is survived by her husband, George Tatman Jr., who was the love of her life and soul mate; her daughter, Ashley, and husband Ryan Kilgore. She will also be missed by her Shih-tzu, Sparky. She spent her days cherishing being a wife and mother for the last 35 years.
Krista had a special bond with her daughter, Ashley, and they were more like best friends spending their time traveling, shopping, laughing, and likely doing something spontaneous or mischievous. They enjoyed being able to put a smile on someone's face or fill the air with laughter.
She also leaves behind her brother, Markie (Teresa) Cosby; sister, Jennifer (Terry) Carroll; and a host of other special, loving family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the care received at Covenant Health - Morristown Hamblen and UT Medical Center.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 24, 2025 from 12PM until 2PM with funeral services to follow at 2PM in the Claiborne - Overholt Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will follow in the Poplar Grove Cemetery.
