Kristen Lee Bohn passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024, after recently celebrating her birth on June 11, 1971. She was born in Warren, Michigan to Kenneth Benjamin Dekker and Janet Marie Porter. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah when Kristy was still a child. Jan married John Bohn when Kristy was in her youth. She and her sister Michelle were adopted by John.

Kristy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. One might describe Kristy as having a sweet, positive, and cheerful spirit, with a smile that lit up any room. Even though she had many challenges, she never complained; she was an example to us all.

Kristen is survived by her mother Janet Porter, Salt Lake City, Utah; and her sister, Michelle Mason, Cottonwood Heights, Utah; her nephews, Zachary J. Smith, Kearns, Utah, and Hunter L. Smith, Sandy, Utah; and her niece, Aubri A. Dove, Sandy, Utah. She was preceded in death by her fathers, Kenneth Benjamin Dekker and John Bohn.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Rocky Mountain Care - Willow Springs in Tooele, as well as University of Utah ICU for their committed care and kindness. They are also grateful for the thoughtful attention of both McDougal Funeral Home and Larkin Sunset Gardens Funeral Service.

Family and friends may gather for their final respects at 5:00 PM, Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Ossuary at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected].
