Kristen Kokernot Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 5, 2018.
Kristen Ann Kokernot, 35, will be remembered for her compassion, sense of humor, and deep love for her children and family. She was born on January 4, 1983 in McAllen, TX and died at her home in San Antonio on March 2, 2018. Kristen loved making people laugh, and was a dedicated and loyal friend. No baby or small child escaped her smile or cheerful hello, and no dog in her presence went without attention. Friends will remember her charm and ability to lift a bad mood with a quick witted joke, and family will recall her listening ear and expressive personality.
Kristen is survived by her two children, Taylor and Michael, her grandmother Ann Orr, mother Kathy Orr, her sister Kimberley (Brett) Jones, her brothers Kevin, Larry and Wade Kokernot, nieces Carly and Kylie, nephews Cody, Carter, and Pierce, beloved dog Chloe, and various aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Carl Kokernot, grandfather Bill Orr, and cousin Andrea Edwards.
Services for Kristen will be held at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8th. Visitation will begin at 6pm, with the service immediately following at 7.
She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery on Friday, March 9th at 11am.

I was sadden to hear the news of your passing. I hold your family and friends in my prayers. May care and love of those around provide comfort and peace to get you through the days ahead. My most sincere condolences. May the great memories made and shared help mend the broken hearts left behind.
