Kristin (Kris) Marie Rubbico, of Sugar Land, TX, passed on to the Father on April 5, 2024 at age 56. She was born on April 19, 1967 in Buffalo, NY. She moved with her family to Houston in 1978.
She attended Clear Lake High School. Kris then worked at numerous restaurants in the area. She most recently worked at various schools in Fort Bend ISD. Most importantly, she was a wonderful mother.
Kris is survived by her son, Samuel "Joey" Rubbico III and his wife Emily; parents, Lawrence and Betty Nikiel; sisters, Amy and her husband Mark Neely of Houston, Beth and her husband Randy Cubriel of Austin, and Annie and her husband Joseph Gonzalez of San Antonio; nephews and nieces, Michael, Xavier, and Bella Gonzalez, and Lillian and Frances Claire Cubriel.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, George and Rosemary Burrall and Henry and Celia Nikiel.
The following services will be held for family and friends of Kris.
A wake will be held at Miller Funeral Service, 7723 Beechnut St, Houston, TX 77074 from 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, TX 77062 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow immediately afterwards in the parish hall.
Burial will be at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to St. Bernadette Church.

What a true friend. I can name at least four young men who achieved Eagle Scout status because of her efforts. She was always willing to give. Sympathies to all she touched.
