With great sadness, we announce the passing of Lorie Lynn Allee Priddy, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, who went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2025.

Lorie was born on July 21, 1969, in Kansas City, MO and was baptized at the age of six on July 4, 1976, at First Baptist Church, Houston TX. From an early age, Lorie’s faith in Jesus Christ was at the core of her being, and she lived her life as a testimony to His love and grace. Her deep belief in Christ shaped her every action, from her work as a devoted educator and mother to her passionate advocacy for life and the sanctity of the unborn.

Lorie graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1987 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in English and Education from Houston Baptist University in 1991. She married her best friend, Morris Allen Priddy, on November 21, 1992. Together, they embarked on a life of service, love, and adventure, moving to Virginia Beach, VA, where Lorie worked at Stonebridge Academy, a classical Christian school.

After returning to Houston, Lorie worked as a middle school teacher in La Porte, TX. During this time, she and Morris built their own home from the ground up in Clear Lake Shores—a dream realized with the help of both families. Lorie’s dedication to her faith and family never wavered, and she dedicated the next chapters of her life to homeschooling their three children—Joshua Morris Priddy, Morris Abraham Priddy, and Isaac Elihu Morris Priddy—instilling in them a love for learning and a deep understanding of theology, literature, and philosophy. Lorie shared this love of learning with a group of cherished friends and fellow teachers at a local “GOCO” (Giving Our Children Opportunities) Homeschool COOP. Their classes and get-togethers were the highlight of her week.

Lorie had a passion for literature, history, and the arts. Some of her favorite authors included Chaucer, Milton, Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien, and C.S. Lewis. Her thirst for knowledge was unquenchable, and in recent years, she had taken up studying regenerative agriculture and back-to-basics farming techniques, raising backyard chickens, spinning her own yarn, and weaving - always eager to learn and grow.

A true champion for life, Lorie was an active participant in numerous Right-to-Life marches in Washington, DC, and Austin, TX. She also participated in the annual Walk for Life in Houston to raise awareness and funds for women facing crisis pregnancies.

Lorie never met a stranger. Her outgoing nature and willingness to share the love of Christ with everyone she encountered were among her most cherished qualities. She was quick to engage in conversation and share the joy of the Lord with those she met, whether in her circle of friends, at church, or even in a passing moment at the grocery store. Her generosity, kindness, and unwavering belief in the value of every life will be missed by all who knew her.

Lorie is survived by her husband, Morris Allen Priddy (age 59), her parents Norris and Carolyn Allee, and her three children: Joshua Morris Priddy (24), Morris Abraham Priddy (22), and Isaac Elihu Morris Priddy (13). She is also survived by many loving extended family members and friends who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service, followed by a celebration of Lorie’s life will be held at 2pm on July 19, 2025 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5315 Main Street, Houston TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to The Houston Coalition for Life, 2925 W. T.C. Jester Blvd, Ste 5, Houston, TX 77018.

Lorie’s legacy of faith, love, and commitment to family and education will continue to inspire all who knew her.
