Rena Priddy Obituary Rena Belle (Withrow) Priddy, 88, of Byesville, passed away Thursday (January 23, 2025) at Astoria Place of Cambridge.
She was born February 13, 1936 in Putnam County WV, daughter of the late James Withrow and Hazel R. (Hedrick) Withrow.
Rena was a homemaker and mother of eight children. She loved taking care of her family and her home. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and tending to her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard R. Priddy, who passed away July 16, 2020. They were married November 29, 1952. Also deceased are her siblings, Mary, John Jr., Delbert, and Hobart; her son, Jerry L. Priddy; a son-in-law, Ned Waibel; and former son-in-law, Craig Minney.
Rena is survived by three sons, Ron Priddy of Elyria, Richard Priddy of Elyria, and Steve Priddy of LaGrange; four daughters, Barbara A. Minney of Byesville, Caroline Priddy of Byesville, Brenda (& Gene) Durbin of Wakeman, and Jeanette Waibel of Plymouth; a brother, Bobby (& Gay) Withrow of Poco WV; three sisters, Gaynelle McCarthy of Canton, Minnie Eastadt of Ripley WV, and Maggie Withrow of Nitro WV; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (January 28, 2025) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
