Kristina Barbara Cavalieri, 72, wife of Paul Cavalieri, of Wethersfield, died peacefully Sunday, February 18, 2024, with her brother Stanley by her side and daughter Jenna on the phone. Kristina was born August 7, 1951 in Germany, to Wanda and Jan Denisiewicz. She married Paul on June 11, 1978 and the two were each other's lifelong companions and loved each other very much. They were blessed with two children, Jenna and Paulie.
Kristina is survived by her husband Paul, daughter Jenna, her siblings Mirek, Stanley, Richard and Kathy Denisiewicz, stepdaughter Christine Cavalieri, sisters-in-law Bonnie and Anne, nieces and nephews Michael, Juliette, Jason and Kristoff and Mary-Anne DiCiccio, her best friend of 68 years. Kristina was predeceased by her son Paul Cavalieri.
She will be especially remembered for her selflessness and kindness she shared anywhere she went. In 2008 she started "Paulies Presence", a non-profit in remembrance of her son Paulie. Here she worked with Hartford schools volunteering her time to children, reading and spending time so every child felt seen and loved. Kristina donated backpacks with school supplies, clothing shoes and toys. She also started a scholarship fund at Wethersfield High School in Paulie's name. Kristina embraced her son-in-law Steven Rosella, along with his children Laura and Sean with open arms and a heart filled with love. She loved her job at Trinity College working in the Counseling Center with Jaime, George, Randy, Carmine and all the students.
Kristina was a true angel on earth that touched every person who was lucky enough to have met her. She was the most gentle, beautiful, loving, welcoming, kind, strongest, wisest, selfless, warm, sweetest soul that anyone could have known. She was everything.
Kristina loved planting flowers in her garden, painting, feeding the birds, going to the outlets with Mary-Anne, dancing with her husband in the kitchen, finding the best shopping deals, helping children in need and spending every minute she could with her family, who were everything to her. Kristina's wish in life was for all of us and the world to love each other.
Friends may call on Tuesday February 27 from 4-7 PM at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Road, Wethersfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paulies Presence Foundation, Https://www.gofundme.com/Kristina-Cavalieri, to continue her legacy that all children deserve love. Dear Cavalieri Family,
I am so, so sorry to hear about Kristina's death. She was so proud of her family. I often worked closely with her at Trinity's Counseling Center and I found her to be kind, compassionate and dedicated to helping the students and her Counseling Center co-workers, George and Randy.

Dear Family,
I'm heartbroken to learn of Kristina's passing. she was a beacon of light at the Counseling Center and on campus. Her warmth and kindness extended far beyond her role. I referred many students to the Counseling Center and needed a hand with quite a few matters. Kristina was always incredibly patient and giving, as well as fiercely dedicated to students' well-being. She worked towards creating a more inclusive and welcoming campus, and supported our efforts at WGRAC. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences and much love to all, Laura Lockwood

A mother to all; one of the kindest, most loving women I have ever had the chance of knowing. She took care of all of her children's friends. Her home was a home to all. Krish, I loved peeling carrots for you, painting your fence with you and getting yelled at by you, :) and all the other great memories over the years and in my heart. What a shock to hear. With great sadness - Love you always, Teresa

I've known Kris for over 60 years and am so saddened to read of her passing. We haven't seen each other in several years, but have never forgotten her. Our mutual bond was sharing the same birthday. She was a very family dedicated person, caring for her brothers and sister while growing up. I am so saddened by her passing, but she is now in the arms of the angels and her dear son. Paul, you were both very fortunate to have had each other and words alone can't comfort you but your memories of Kris will keep her in your heart. God bless you and the family.
