Kristine "Kris" Elaine Wagner passed away at Baptist Heath Floyd on April 1, 2025. Born in Jasper, Indiana, on January 8, 1968, Kristine was a beacon of compassion, love, and support. Her thoughtful nature touched the lives of countless individuals. She was a proud graduate of Western Michigan University, and her dedication to serving others led her to a fulfilling start to her career working at Georgetown Elementary School, then ending her career as an Assisted Program Manager at Kentuckiana Nursing Services. Her loving spirit was a comforting presence for all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kristine's zest for life was reflected in her varied interests, which ranged from sunbathing in the pool to hosting game nights with her beloved children. She was an avid watcher of the Hallmark Channel, Kristine always had a soft spot for heartwarming stories of love and triumph. The central hub for her children's friends, Kristine's home was always filled with laughter and love. She loved helping in her community with children's sports teams and clubs. Kristine found relaxation and joy in reading while cuddled up with her beloved dog, Buffy.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carl Wagner, her grandparents Vic and Louise Schutz, and grandparents Alvin and Leola Krieg.
She is survived by her children Nick Wagner (Abbie) of Georgetown, IN, Morgan Wagner (Muhammad) of Georgetown, IN, Megan Wagner of Georgetown, IN, parents Norman and Mary Kaye Krieg of Jasper, IN, sisters Kim Thompson (William) of Canton, GA, Karin Seibert (Brent) of Jasper, IN, one granddaughter Gracie Wagner of Georgetown, IN.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 1:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday, April 7, 2025, from 9:00am – 10:00am at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown located at 7420 IN-64, Georgetown, IN 47122.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 11:00am at St Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana located at 5719 St. Mary's Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pat Harrison Cancer Resource Center (1206 Spring St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
