Kristy Jill Corbett

Kristy Kill Corbett, 59, of Indianapolis, departed this life suddenly on Monday, December 1, 2025. She was born July 3, 1966 in Louisville, Kentucky to John Kenneth "Ken" & Judith (Senn) Corbett. She had attended Greenbriar Elementary School, Northview Jr. High School and was a graduate of North Central High School. She then attended Vincennes University. She always loved being a part of a group and especially her school communities and any group focused on reading and music. Kristy enjoyed singing and the performing arts, but never cared much for math or physical activities.

Kristy loved going to the library and borrowing the maximum number of materials allowed. She followed all things Hollywood and music. She always celebrated, and had never missed the Academy Awards, The Grammy's or Golden Globe Awards. People Magazine was her favorite periodical, and she concluded each day with the local news, the national news, Entertainment Tonight and Inside Edition. Living with autism, Kristy was happiest with a steady routine, trustworthy companions and a love for family.

Kristy was preceded in death by her father, John Kenneth "Ken" Corbett on November 23, 2018.

Kristy is survived by her devoted mother, Judy Corbett; loving brother, Kasey (Amy) Corbett; beloved nephews, A.J. & Bryce Corbett; her beloved dog, Mocha and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family mostly in the Louisville area.

A visitation for Kristy will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, located at 7575 E Holliday Dr, Indianapolis, IN, 46260, on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 5:30 pm.

A Celebration of Life Visitation is scheduled at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, 40216, on December 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial follows at 12:30pm in St. Andrew Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested in Kristy's name to Little Sisters of the Poor: either, Louisville - St. Joseph's Home or Indianapolis - St. Augustine Home.
