Kristy (Kristina) Faye Hammonds died peacefully in her sleep after a long fought battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 1st at the age of 58. Kristy was born August 21, 1964 in Rushville, Indiana and was the daughter of Joseph and Ida Knott of Knightstown.
Kristy worked at Globe Asphalt Paving for 14 years and RJ's restaurant for many years, making many new friends along the way. Kristy was known as Mimster to her granddaughters and ninety-nine to her Globe Family.
She was preceded in death by her sister Kimberly Rose Knott, her parents Joseph & Ida Knott, and her German Shepherd Seuss.
Kristy is survived by her only daughter Ashley (Brian) Grimes of Greenfield along with her two granddaughters Addysen Jo and Addy June and three granddogs. Her blue heeler Hoof and cat Luis, brothers Charles (Melissa) Knott of Frankfort, KY and Kevin (Ann) Knott of Anderson, IN, one uncle, many cousins, and nieces/nephews.
With her vibrant and unfiltered personality, Kristy enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone about anything, never shy about sharing her thoughts or opinions. She never met a stranger.
For her daughter, Ashley, she was her rock- always there to provide unconditional love, support and encouragement.
Calling will take place Tuesday, November 8th from 5-7pm and services will take place on Wednesday, November 9th at 3pm at Indiana Funeral Care 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis IN 46250
