Krzysztof Kowalski

Krzysztof Kowalski, 23, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was born March 8, 2001, in Ostroleka, Mazowieckie, Poland, to Slawomir and Agnieszka Lomperta Kowalski. He was a graduate of Georgetown College and was attending graduate school at Lindsey Wilson where he was a graduate assistant coach for the women's volleyball team. A gifted athlete, Krzysztof was a member of Georgetown College's Men's 2024 National Championship Volleyball Team and was named MVP of the tournament. He was also honored as the NAIA Athlete of the Year, along with many other achievements that reflected his exceptional dedication and talent.
Krzysztof Kowalski was a rare and extraordinary soul, someone who radiated kindness, strength, and an unwavering passion for life. He was a source of positivity, with a heart so big it could embrace everyone he met. His work ethic was unmatched, and his drive to succeed was tempered by his deep humility and genuine care for others. Krzysztof embodied the truest definitions of sincerity, honor, and empathy, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His love and respect for family and friends knew no limits, and his unwavering commitment to uplifting those around him defined his remarkable spirit. Though his loss leaves an indescribable emptiness, his legacy of compassion and goodness will remain a guiding light for us all. Krzysztof will forever be remembered as a one-of-a-kind individual, whose memory will live on in our hearts with love and gratitude.
He is survived by his parents, Slawomir Kowalski and Agnieszka Kowalska; his brother, Lukasz Kowalski; his sister-in-law, Gosia Kowalska; his beloved nephews, Karol and Nikodem Kowalski; and his cherished American family-Tony Schmidt, Angela Schmidt, Emree Schmidt, Ashton Schmidt and his girlfriend, Camryn Schmidt. Their love, support, and shared memories were a foundation of his life and brought him endless happiness.
Visitation will start at 5:00 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4th at Georgetown College's Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date in his hometown in Poland.
