It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and family member. Cherished for being such a big hearted kid, his generous kindness to all he meets and his genuine smile.

Kurt attended Standard, Wingland and Norris Elementary and North High School. He excelled in track until a life changing automobile accident changed the course of his life, but it did not take away the kindness of his soul or who he truly was. After high school he ventured to Colorado for Gunsmithing school and though that was not the path he chose for his career, he continued to share his knowledge of guns to many who knew him. He worked many years for Bakersfield Cash Register and was a cherished employee of theirs.

Kurt had a knowledge and wit like no other, and creativity that always kept his mind active. He was always thinking of ways to make things better or a better way of making things. His silliness surprised by many but to those who knew him, they were not surprised. His infectious laugh was contagious to those around him.

Kurt leaves behind his mother whom he loved deeply, his brother Kent, his nieces and nephews as well as many family members and friends. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
