Kyle James Higgins, age 24, born March 28, 2000, passed away into God's open arms on July 2, 2024. Kyle was born in Milwaukee and was raised in Downers Grove by his loving parents Michael and Lisa Higgins. His older brother Matthew and younger sister Audrey loved and adored him and were the best of friends to him. Kyle's incredible kindness to others, deep compassion, fierce loyalty and infectious twinkle in his eye was his gift to all who ever knew him. There is now a hole in this world that he would like us all to fill by spreading kindness wherever it is needed most. He never judged anyone and tended to help those who were most in need. He was truly special to us all. He had a gift of making others happy even at a great expense to himself. He had the ability to sense pain in others and provide the cure with his goofy side or his unwavering desire to help others. He wanted to make everyone laugh and spread joy. He appreciated everything that was ever done for him. He was One of One. As a family, we feel incredibly blessed to have had him as a part of our lives.
He will be forever missed by his grandparents Janet (the late Thomas) Higgins, Beverly (the late Frank) Denman; Aunts and Uncles Jill (Jim Huenink) Higgins, Tom Higgins, Tim (Michelle) Higgins, Jack (Jessica Saxvik) Higgins, Kim (Mark) Stecher; cousins Dylan, Ana, Noah, Riley Higgins, Tim Stecher, Kelly (Craig) Collinson; loving extended family, and countless wonderful friends and acquaintances.
We believe Kyle has ascended into Heaven and is now resting in perpetual peace with God our Father. There is no more suffering and pain and everything is in harmony. We look forward to the day of being reunited but not until we complete his unfinished business of spreading kindness and compassion here on Earth. So in lieu of flowers and donations, please keep Kyle's memory and mission alive in your heart, and take that little extra step to help the person who is struggling, lonely, confused, and in need. It is the greatest gift you can give.
A visitation will be held on Friday July 12, 2024 from 1pm until time of Funeral Service at 7:30pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 7000 S Madison St, Willowbrook, IL 60527.

He came into jimmy johns to work and he brought light to our hearts and the best energy into the store no matter how bad he was doing he always came with great energy. Me and him had a lot of deep talks and related on a spiritual level with how similiar we are and how our struggles have been! He was always there to talk and I was always there for him! He will forever be missed at the jimmy johns in Lisle! We loved him with all our heart and there will forever be a hole in our hearts

Dear Michael, Lisa, Matthew and Audrey,
We are all heartbroken over the sudden and tragic loss or your beloved Kyle. Although, I never had the honor to meet Kyle, he sounds like a truly loving, and compassionate young man.
We will keep Kyle´s mission in our hearts and will make a special donation in his honor.
May god surround you all and hold you in his arms through this extremely difficult time.
With love,
Jim & Tammy Crivello
