STE. GENEVIEVE - Kyle Scott Strickland of Ste. Genevieve passed away on June 14, 2025, at his home at the age of 30. He was born January 25, 1995, to Kenneth Wayne and Angela Lynn (Murphy) Strickland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kelsey Lynn (Strickland) Christisen in 2023; his paternal grandfather, John Strickland, and an uncle, Carl Steele.
Kyle was a 2013 graduate of Farmington High School. He joined the laborer's union and worked for 7 years in the commercial construction industry. He loved riding dirt bikes, deer hunting, fishing and swimming. His daughter, Aurora, who was "Daddy's Girl", was his world and he loved being her Daddy. Kyle had the gift of gab and never met a stranger and had a heart of gold. He put others before himself. His nieces would say that he was the best uncle ever.
Survivors in addition to his parents, include his beloved daughter, Aurora Rose Strickland; the love of his life, April Layton; maternal grandparents, Dennis and Janet Murphy and paternal grandmother, Wilma Strickland; his nieces, Chloe, Kaylee and Kinsley and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are numerous good friends.
