FARMINGTON – Joe Patrick Mackley passed away on March 2, 2026, in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the age of 70. He was born July 20, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Lindle Francis Mackley, Sr. and Matilda Adeline (Burt) Mackley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ann Donaldson.

Joe was a 1974 graduate of Farmington High School. After school he pursued a long career as a brick mason, having laid brick all over the United States. He was a member of the Brick Layer’s Union.

An avid outdoorsman, Joe loved to hunt, fish, hunt mushrooms, gig for fish and tour the countryside on his motorcycle. He was a cunning card player who enjoyed playing Texas Holdem.

Joe was blessed to have become a Christian a little over a year ago. His family will remember his kind compassionate mannerisms and a man that was always there for his family and friends. He had a tender heart, a generous way of giving and helping others in any way he could.

Survivors include his brothers, Lindle Mackley, Jr., Melvin Mackley and Tracy and wife, Charity Mackley; nephews, John Cleaver, Shaun and Amber Mackley, Cory and Samantha Mackley, and Kyle Mackley; nieces, Jamie Runnels, Schea and Kyle Winch and Sarah Helvey; a brother-in-law, George Donaldson; a number of great nieces and nephews and extended family and good friends.

There will be a memorial gathering of family and friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2026, beginning at 1 pm followed by a memorial service and celebration of life at 3 p.m. with Pastor Mike Haney officiating.
