Laberta K. Sherwood

Laberta K. Sherwood, 82, of Bourbon, IN, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in her home.
Laberta was born on June 25, 1943 to Floyd and Lois (Wheeler) Danner. She graduated from Bourbon High School. She worked at Felke Floral Shop and was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, gardening, pressure canning, and loved visiting the Bourbon Library and Rentown, but especially loved spending time with her family.
Laberta is survived by her daughter, Rustie (David) Curtis of Bourbon, IN; her sons: Rob Sherwood of Bourbon, IN; Ronald Sherwood, Jr. of Bloomington, IN; her grandchildren: Connor (Bryan) Stinson of Bourbon, IN; James Wordleman (Breanna Bush) of Bremen, IN; Justin Sherwood of Portland, OR; her special great-grandson, Jimmy B of Bourbon, IN; and her husband, Ronald Sherwood, Sr. of Bourbon, IN.
Laberta was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Lois Danner.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home (115 S. Main St., Bourbon, IN 46504).
A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kristin Harp officiating.
The burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery (Bourbon, IN).
Memorial donations may be made in Laberta's honor to: Bourbon Public Library (307 N Main St, Bourbon, IN 46504).
