Lakendra Dionne "Ken" Johnson was born May 06, 1984 in Jackson MS to Deborah and Larry Johnson. She departed life on September 18, 2022. She was preceded in death by her maternal Grandmother, Claudia Cooper and maternal Grandfather, Willie Earl Underwood; Paternal Grandmother, Annell Johnson Stevens and Paternal Grandfather, Samuel Young; Her only sister, Nikisha Lashonda Johnson; Fur Babies, Cinnamon, Snowy, Mufasa and the Great Gizmo.
Lakendra obtained her education through JPS, Raines, Northwest, and Provine Class of 2002. She graduated with a BS Degree from Alcorn University in 2007; A Master's Degree from Belhaven University in 2016.
Hobbies, Interests and Talents included Makeup Artistry, Drawing, Dancing, Traveling, Decorator and Coordinating in her spare time.
Lakendra employment included Mississippi Hudspeth Regional Center until her health failed, Magnolia Guaranty Life Insurance Company, and Downtown Fitness.
Lakendra leaves to cherish in loving memory, her parents, Deborah (Theo) Harper and Larry Johnson; aunts: Tierra Cooper and niece Kalani Scott. Uncles include Eddie (Pamela) Champion, Cedric Mason, Chris Mason, all of MS. Robert (Bernita) Jordan of Detroit MI, Shermon Johnson of Virginia Beach VA, Aunts: Jimmye (John) Gunter, Edna (Joseph) Dent, Sandra K Ward, Darlene (Jimmy) Black, Kim (Jeffrey) Bracey all of MS; Annie Brooks of New Orleans, LA; Maggie Shavers of Florida; Fannie Mae Miggins, Kimberly Underwood both of Jackson, MS; and Eva Wilson (Johnnie) of Chicago, IL; one Goddaughter, Jada Watson; one God son, Royce Williams; a Godsister, Tiffany Clay, NP; special cousins: LaJuan Johnson, Chad Butler, LaTasha Miggins, LaToya Glover and Melanie Winters; and special friends include so many, we can't include them all but they are truly Loved.
Funeral Services will be held for Ms. Lakendra D. Johnson on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home, 886 North Farish Street, Jackson, Mississippi.
