Mueller Funeral Home - MasonLana Sue (nee Hobbs) Jacobs, 80 of West Chester, passed away on September 16, 2025, after a short illness. Born to William Blanton and Helen (nee Ketchum) Hobbs on March 27, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana. A graduate of Indiana University in 1967, Lana went on to raise her children and be an active presence in the lives of her grandchildren.
She was the definition of generous, kind and caring. She gave everything to family and friends. Lana would take time to collect things that were special to her and when she had enough would turn around and give them away to her family, so that those items would bring someone else joy.
Lana was affectionally known to her family as ‘Sweetheart.’ It started when her grandbabies were young and continued as they grew up. Her devotion to her grandchildren was unmatched. She valued her time with each and everyone of them.
Lana and her beloved husband celebrated 58 years of marriage in August this year. She and John traveled with his career and then in retirement seeing everything more the world offered. Her favorite spots were the African Safari and the 2-week cruise to the Greek Islands.
A passion for animals, nature, and foxes. She enjoyed learning about how they lived and even worked at a veterinarian clinic for a while.
Preceded in death by her parents.
