Lana Hays Peavy, 77, of Groves, Texas, a dedicated Homemaker known for her warmth and creativity, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home in Groves, Texas. She was born on November 30, 1946, in Oakdale, Louisiana.
         Throughout her life, Lana found joy in various hobbies and interests. She had a passion for crafts, including jewelry making and painting. Her talent extended to crocheting beautiful pieces. Lana's love for baking filled her home with delightful aromas. An avid traveler, she loved to explore and cherished every moment spent fishing by the water. Lana had a great love for shopping, especially when it came to adding sparkles to her vast collection of jewelry. All of these hobbies brought her immense joy.
         Lana Hays Peavy was the loving wife of David Peavy of Groves, Texas for 31 years. She is survived by her sons, Michael Shane Ward and wife, Stephanie of Beaumont, Texas, Richard Trey Ward of Henderson, Texas, David Christopher Ward and wife, Stacy of Nederland, Texas, Jeremy Clarence Adams and wife, Amanda of Carthage, Texas, Jeffry Glen Adams and partner, Daylon of Port Neches, Texas, Christopher Peavy and wife Ciara of Hendersonville, NC, and Michael Peavy of Sabine Pass, Texas; her daughter Juanita Ardoin and husband, Eric of Beaumont, Texas; twenty-six grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Harris and husband Pat, and Carol Kelly; and her brother, Gene Hays, Jr.

         Lana is preceded in death by her parents, Harold Eugene Hays Sr. and LouL Cedars Hays; as well as her great-granddaughter, Amelia Burns.
         Lana's life will be honored through two events beginning with a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday evening, August 7, 2024, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Melancon~Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday morning, August 8, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.

         Lana's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Her kindness, creativity, and love for life will continue to inspire all who were touched by her presence. May she rest in peace.
