Lance Alan Blighton
Lance Alan Blighton, 40, of Marianna, Florida died Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was born to Roy and Lillian Blighton in Geneva, Alabama.
After Lance graduated from Marianna High School, he went to trade school for Firefighting and EMT and worked for the Marianna and Jackson County Fire & Rescue. He was also self-employed in the areas of lawn maintenance, fence building, laying flooring and decks. Lance enjoyed going boating and mudding on his side by side. He loved spending time with his two daughters, doing whatever they wanted. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and making everyone laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Calvin Blighton. His survivors include, his daughter, Taylor Blighton and mother, Stephanie Wilkinson of Greenwood; daughter, Audrey Blighton and mother, Tiffany Burdeshaw of Grand Ridge; his mother, Lillian Blighton of Greenwood; brother, Kevin Williams (Amanda) of Wausau; sister, Brandy Davis (Tracy) of Cottondale; and sister, Caryn Huggins (Chad) of Graceville; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until time for service.

14 years ago I met Lance. He bought my daughters pick up truck from me. And then later I asked him to do some repair work on some carpeting in my house as he told me during the truck purchase that he needed it for his work. Carpet installation was one of them.
I found Lance to be a very nice person and even trusted him to work in my home without me or anyone there. He did a fantastic job and I moved from that home in 2018 to Dothan. His fee was very reasonable and told him I would call him with any further needs in his line of work and would also refer him to my friends. To this day I still have his business card.
I was shocked to see his obituary and very saddened as he was definitely a blessing to our society. My heart goes out to his family and friends and consider myself blessed to have met Lance.
